Online Presentation Guidelines

Each oral presentation will have 12 minutes for talk and 3 minutes for Q&A. Online oral presenters need to prepare a 12-minute pre-recorded oral presentation (in MP4 format) which can be generated from MS PowerPoint following the instructions in this link: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/record-a-slide-show-with-narration-and-slide-timings-0b9502c6-5f6c-40ae-b1e7-e47d8741161c. The aspect ratio is 16:9. The pre-recorded video should be e-mailed to upload_scems2021@163.com no later than November 25th, 2021.   

 

How the session will go

1. Click the link below to download Tencent Meeting on your computer in advance and participate in real time through Tencent Meeting.

2. Access Tencent Meeting at least 10 minutes before the start of the sessions to check the video and audio connection (Chinese Standard Time).

3. The session chair will introduce the presenter and play the pre-recorded presentation video.

4. After playing the video, take questions and answers in real time.

5. Session chairs have the responsibility of reporting "no-shows" to the Technical and Publication Committee (TPC). "No-show" papers will NOT be published in the conference proceedings or IEEE database.

The online poster presenters need to prepare a digital poster in A0 portrait format (1189mm height, 841mm width). Title and authors' information MUST be included. Simply posting a copy of the paper is NOT appropriate and will be treated as a "no-show" situation. The digital poster should be e-mailed to upload_scems2021@163.com no later than November 25th, 2021.

1. Pre-submitted presentation file will be updated on our website and open throughout the conference dates (December 1-3, 2021)

2. Click the link below to download Tencent Meeting on your computer in advance and participate in real time through Tencent Meeting.

3. Access Tencent Meeting at least 10 minutes before the start of the sessions to check the video and audio connection (Chinese Standard Time).

4. The poster presenters MUST be available to answer questions raised by the session chair and attendance who joins the room during their session.

5. Session chairs have the responsibility of reporting "no-shows" to the Technical and Publication Committee (TPC). "No-show" papers will NOT be published in the conference proceedings or IEEE database.

Onsite Presentation Guidelines

Each oral presentation will have 12 minutes for talk and 3 minutes for Q&A. Session rooms will be prepared with computers installed with Windows 10 and MS PowerPoint, which the speakers are encouraged to use for their presentation. The aspect ratio is 16:9.

 

How the session will go

1. Please save your presentation file on a USB memory stick and bring it to the session room. A backup is recommended to avoid unexpected problems.

2. Speakers should arrive at their session rooms 15 minutes before the start of the sessions, so as to check in with the session chair and copy their presentation files to the presentation computers.

3. Session chairs have the responsibility of reporting "no-shows" to the Technical and Publication Committee (TPC). "No-show" papers will NOT be published in the conference proceedings or IEEE database.

How the session will go

1. Print your poster and bring it to the poster session hall. Fixing facilities will be provided by the conference staff.

2. Each poster session is 45 minutes long. Posters should be set up by the presenter at least 15 minutes before the session starts and be removed by the presenter promptly at the end of their session. Posters not removed by the presenters will be discarded.

3. The poster presenter MUST be available to explain the details and answer questions during his poster session. "No-show" papers will NOT be published in the conference proceedings or IEEE database.
